“pairs in the world” [HOUN]
You never know where you're going to find Sherlock Holmes these days.
In this case, we find Sherlock Holmes (accompanied by Watson, of course) in... a 30-second TV spot for chocolates.
Chocolates?
Yes, chocolates. In this case, for products from the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, which is currently promoting its chocolate and caramel squares.
The ad opens with a hero shot of swirling caramel with a chocolate square surfacing through it and resolving to a wrapped square. The narrator says, "Ghirardelli caramel and chocolate: they're great on their own, but together, it's like..."
Then, a magnifying glass appears over the plate and we're transported to a scene in a study, with Sherlock Holmes holding that magnifying glass, focused on the chocolate as Watson pours the tea.
A jingle kicks in:
The Watson to your Sherlock
The Sponge Bob to your Patrick
The bestie to your spa day
The apprentice to your sensei
The partner to your picnic
The hero to your sidekick
The caramel to your chocolate
The chocolate to your caramel
Mm, perfect pairs
Share a square.
The description of the YouTube video informs us:
We all have that perfect pair, the person who's the caramel to our chocolate. That's the person you're always up for sharing a Ghirardelli Caramel square with.
Watch the whole thing:
Not sure about that beard...
