"to force a confidence" [BLAC]

Being considered knowledgeable and trustworthy comes with inherent dangers.

For the entire run of the Sherlock Holmes stories, it is Dr. Watson who is a trusted friend and confidant of the great detective, and through whose eyes we see the action and plot. We have no reason not to trust his judgment (except when later Holmes indicates what he missed). After all, he is a medical man, with a certain knowledge of the world.

So it's not too much of a stretch to imagine his classmates relying on Watson for academic help...is it?

Baker Street Elementary follows the original adventures of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, as they and their friends work through the issues of elementary school in Victorian London. An archive of all previous episodes can be viewed at www.bakerstreetelementary.org.
