If there's one thing that plagues every writer from time to time, it's writer's block. That is, the inability to create something due to a lack of ideas, or an inability to proceed.<br />
<br />
When counseling others in this regard, some writers offer the helpful advice: "Just write something!" The notion is that, through the process of typing away in a stream of consciousness, the block will lift.<br />
<br />
When one considers that Conan Doyle wrote 60 Sherlock Holmes stories (that's four novels and 56 short stories, for you folks following along at home), and that most of them had unique plots (we'll forgive him the similarities between "The Red-Headed League" and "The Three Garridebs" as one example), he did remarkably well.<br />
<br />
We're up to the 40th installment of Baker Street Elementary, and now have our greatest challenge to date. The Fay-Masons are determined to stump the band. And we nearly succumbed as well. As Neil Gibson said to Holmes in "The Problem of Thor Bridge,"<br />

“I have broken stronger men than you. No man ever crossed me and was the better for it.”</blockquote>
And we take great pride in responding as Sherlock Holmes did:<br />

We'll be honest. The CBS drama series <i>Elementary</i>, starring Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu doesn't get enough attention here on I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere.<br />
<br />
It's largely because Scott and Burt haven't carved out the time to watch it. As a weekly series, there's much more to absorb than the three-episode series that the BBC produced every few years.<br />

One of the challenges of running this biweekly comic strip (something we've been doing every other Sunday since <a href="http://www.ihearofsherlock.com/2017/02/new-feature-baker-street-elementary.html#.W2_Maigzrb0" target="_blank">February 2017</a>) is coming up with relevant and entertaining commentary to preface each strip.<br />
<br />
We secretly think that the Baker Street Elementary crew deliberately tries to stump us, which makes us try even harder.<br />
<br />
In this case, if Watson assessed our knowledge of engineering like he assessed Sherlock Holmes's knowledge of various topics in <i>A Study in Scarlet</i>, it would fall somewhere between "nil" and "feeble."<br />
<br />
However, our appreciation for puns, witticisms, and wordplay would be on the "profound" level. As such, we developed a few altnernate titles for this particular strip, including:<br />

We hope you've had a chance to hear our <a href="http://www.ihearofsherlock.com/2018/06/happy-anniversary.html#.Wyh07qczrb0" target="_blank">11 year-long show</a>, in which we interview notable Sherlockians who are doing their part to keep the memory of Sherlock Holmes green. The program <b>I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere</b> has evolved over the years, but we're on a steady cadence of long-form interviews on the 15th and 30th of every month.<br />

But over on <a href="http://www.sherlockholmespodcast.com/">Trifles</a>, we're doing something completely different: we have short discussions of about 15 minutes in length every week in which we talk about one or two issues that we've noticed within the Sherlock Holmes stories. It's an approach that we hope brings more people into our fold who are new to Sherlock Holmes and are fascinated with the details within the story, or who may have some questions about what they read.<br />

Conan Doyle's real-life turn as Sherlock Holmes has typically been shared through the George Edalji case. But there was another case involving one Oscar Slater that has been more of a footnote than a feature. Author <b>Margalit Fox</b> set out to change that.<br />

Oh, how the class clown fascinates us. He (and it's typically a boy) has an oversized sense of humor, and knows how to employ it to the amusement of his classmates and the annoyance of his teacher.<br />
<br />
Humor is a tough thing for anyone in front of a group. It's hit or miss. In many ways, it's like being an acrobat. When you see an opportunity, you go for it, hoping you don't slip and fall. Especially when there's no net.<br />
<br />
Sherlock Holmes did make a few attempts at humor – in some cases with more snark and insult ("The Three Gables," anyone?) – but knew enough to stay away for the most part. But he did know a thing or two about <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYP1OBZfFK0" target="_blank">Niagara Falls</a>.<br />

In <i>A Study in Scarlet</i>, Watson read from "The Book of Life":<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
“From a drop of water,” said the writer, “a logician could infer the possibility of an Atlantic or a Niagara without having seen or heard of one or the other. So all life is a great chain, the nature of which is known whenever we are shown a single link of it."</blockquote>

He quickly discovered that it was Sherlock Holmes himself who had written that article. While it may have seemed fanciful, it was quite obvious that a drop of water had an origin somewhere else, and likely had friends with which it congregated. And to Holmes, foreseeing a Niagara Falls was a simple logical inference.</div>

And if you've got such a natural wonder as Niagara Falls, why not make use of it? So thought Jean François Gravelet, otherwise known as <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Blondin" target="_blank">Charles Blondin</a>. Blondin first crossed the Niagara on tightrope on June 30, 1859, and made a name for himself. You can read about his life and other exploits in that link above, including an instance in which a tightrope crossing gone wrong cost two men their lives.</div>

But Holmes fancied himself a Blondin (which by that time had become a generic name for anyone in the tightrope-walking profession) in <i>The Sign of Four</i>: "Now run down-stairs, loose the dog, and look out for Blondin."</div>

You see, at that moment, Sherlock Holmes was planning to walk the roofline of Pondicherry Lodge.</div>

At one time, it could be said that Joel Senter, along with his wife Carolyn, was the Amazon.com of the Sherlockian world.<br />
<br />
Joel and Carolyn established Classic Specialties, a Sherlockian mail-order business where you could get everything from scarves to lapel pins to stationery and so much more, all emblazoned with Sherlockian images.<br />
<br />
Sadly, Carolyn notified us that Joel passed over the Reichenbach on Monday, just a few days shy of their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday.<br />
<br />
When Joel and Carolyn began Classic Specialties in 1988, they probably didn't know exactly how big this was going to become. Their catalog reached hundreds of Sherlockians, but word spread, and before long, they established a website for themselves as well, and it really took off.<br />
<br />
From <a href="http://www.sherlock-holmes.com/featur1.htm" target="_blank">a 1996 entry</a> on their website:<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
It all began with a sweater. Joel had been a Sherlock Holmes fan since his high school days when he was introduced to "The Red-Headed League" through an English literature book. (Carolyn says that her interest in Holmes didn't start in high school because she went to a college preparatory program and they never did anything interesting!) Carolyn had been both an amateur and professional knitter for many years, so one year she made a Sherlock Holmes sweater for Joel. The sweater had silhouettes of Holmes and Watson, a replica of Mr. Holmes signature, a "speckled band" around the waist, a string of dancing men (which no one has yet deciphered), and assorted other "Sherlockiana" either knitted, or appliquéd, onto the sweater.<br />
<br />
In 1987, we attended the Friends of Old Time Radio convention in Newark, New Jersey. There we met a fellow Sherlockian named Bill Nadel. He learned of the sweater and asked Carolyn if she would make one for him... Carolyn later decided to see if Bill would be pleased with a much simpler garment, so she made a scarf and sent it to him. Subsequently, Bill wore the scarf to some Sherlockian functions. As a result, some other folks in the New York area contacted Carolyn to ask if she would make scarves for them, too. She complied and made a few scarves, mostly for Bill's New York area compatriots.<br />
<br />
The scarves were well received. Eventually, it occurred to Joel and I that Sherlockians elsewhere might like to have some of these scarves, so we created a "line" of scarves with Sherlockian motifs, including the Speckled Band scarf, the Empty House scarf, the Sign of the Four scarf, and others. We bought an ad in the Baker Street Journal and sent out an advertising mailer to a few clubs and scions. There were a few responses, so we expanded our product "line" to include such things as a "battle at Reichenbach sweater jacket" and a "Speckled Band bell rope.<br />
<br />
At about the time the work load started to become unmanageable, some creators of other Sherlockian products (lapel pins, books, monographs, artwork, etc.) started to become aware of our existence and contacted us to see if we could help them market their items, too. Very slowly, and very selectively, we began to market such articles for others. Even though we do still create many items ourselves, we focus more on the marketing aspect, and our contact with Sherlockians and their products continues to grow even now. This is not only a pleasure for us, but, we think, an advantage to the global Sherlockian Community.<br />
<br />
You see, as "brokers" for all matter of items, we have created a conduit of communication among Sherlockians all over the world. Now people who would never have known each other are not only aware of each other's products, but more importantly, they are aware of each other! Consequently, we think of our Classic Specialties organization as more than a purely commercial enterprise. We feel we have created communication channels among Sherlockians which would not otherwise have existed!</blockquote>
<br />
Their catalogs were nicely done (later called <i>The Sherlockian Times</i>), and it's what attracted our attention to a certain "Gold pin—bull-dog’s head, with rubies as eyes," belonging to Enoch Drebber in <i>A Study in Scarlet</i>. We bought their entire supply and made it the official lapel pin for the Bull-Terrier Club of Boston University. During that timeframe, we also enjoyed notepads, note cards, and other ephemera we ordered from Classic Specialties.<br />
<br />
Eventually, Joel and Carolyn created an email list called the Sherlockian E-Times, which they distributed monthly. They shuttered the mail-order business but kept communicating with that vibrant community and shared stories, links, photos, comic strips and more on their site.<br />
<br />
But on April 29, we received a short email from Joel that caught many Sherlockians by surprise and in which he explained the future of the E-Times:<br />

Well, Loyal Readers, it is time for me to be composing the May issue of the Sherlockian E-Times, however circumstances have conspired such that I find that I can no longer rise to the occasion. Hence, the <a href="http://www.sherlock-holmes.com/e_times18-4.html" target="_blank">April 2018 edition</a> will be our final issue. I thank you for your readership and I also thank those of you who helped fill our pages by sharing your Sherlockian scholarship with us. It has been a pleasure serving you first through Classic Specialties and the Sherlockian Times and then through the Sherlockian E-Times during these past three decades. Farewell and so-long.<br />

The note that Carolyn sent earlier this week has the most personal and relevant information about Joel, and we'd like to share it here:</div>

For 32 years, he was Professor of Psychology at the University of Cincinnati. During those years, he taught many classes but was usually thought of as a statistics teacher. He wrote 2 textbooks, one of which was a statistics text entitled, Analysis of Data which now is practically a classic (sometimes you can see a copy available on Abe Books).<br />
<br />
For 10 of those 32 years, he taught enormous sized classes in Introductory Psychology. The class size ranged from 300 or 400 to as many as 800 students. Those classes were amazing productions and for some topics, non-registered people would come in and sit in the aisles to listen and many students changed their schedules in order to take his class which was often filled. He prepared for those classes himself since he only had one teaching assistant to help.<br />
<br />
In addition to textbooks, he wrote innumerable journal articles and applied for and received innumerable grants from various government agencies. The University tasked him with the job of establishing and heading an Experimental Psychology laboratory. It was established in a large, off campus building in which several people (students and teachers) set-up labs and performed experiments, analyzed data, etc.<br />
<br />
When Joel accepted the University's early retirement package in 1988, he and I started Classic Specialties, The Sherlockian Times, and eventually, the Sherlockian E-Times.<br />
You all know the rest of the story. We operated Classic Specialties for 28 years. We met many of you and because of those years we had some the best times and met some of the best people and made some very good friends.<br />
<br />
Joel was blessed in many ways but something I want to thank all of you for are your wonderful messages when you learned the E-Times was ending. He received so many lovely messages from you and he was able to see how people thought of him. For that I am enormously grateful.<br />
<br />
Joel was always fond of repeating to students or any young talented person with whom he spoke, the advice he received from a professor when he was a student, i.e., "He who toots not his own horn, so shall it not be tooted." However, he never followed his own advice and indeed even eschewed his own accomplishments.<br />
<br />
I thought you might want to know a bit more about who he was and who I am now without. For me, this lonely position I am in is incredibly, almost impossibly difficult to bear but Joel is now, I hope, discussing some of the finer points of the Canon with those who have crossed over Reichenbach before him.</blockquote>
<br />
Our sincerest condolences to Carolyn. Joel was a quiet but oversized presence in the Sherlockian world, and he'll be missed by many.<br />

Since the introduction of Netscape to navigate the Internet in 1994 and pay-to-access services like Prodigy, AOL and Compuserve even earlier in the 1990s, the world has been moving to digital communications.<br />
<br />
But the world of Sherlockians has traditionally moved at its own pace. In a world where "it's always 1895," as <a href="http://www.ihearofsherlock.com/2013/10/celebrate-national-poetry-day.html" target="_blank">the Vincent Starrett poem</a> goes, it's not surprising that the Baker Street Irregulars have taken their time establishing a web presence.<br />

<h3>
<b>“These relics have a history then?”</b></h3>
When your editor was invested into the BSI in 2001, one of our first suggestions was establishing a web presence — at least for the <i><a href="http://www.bakerstreetjournal.com/" target="_blank">Baker Street Journal</a></i>, since the organization was planning to sell CD-ROMs of the BSJ's holdings from 1946-2000. It made perfect sense to sell online something that required a computer to use.<br />
<br />
In doing so, we established and designed the site <a href="http://bakerstreetjournal.com/" target="_blank">bakerstreetjournal.com</a>, where we implemented PayPal for electronic payments, offered excerpts from previous issues, a table of contents for the current issue, and allowed subscribers to create automatically renewing subscriptions. The site first launched with the ability to purchase subscriptions, get back issues, and buy the CD-ROM. You can view <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20010717133833/http://www.bakerstreetjournal.com:80/" target="_blank">what it first looked like on July 17, 2001, via the Wayback Machine</a>.<br />

We soon added the BSI History Series, edited by Jon Lellenberg, the BSI Manuscript Series, the BSI International Series, and entire articles that won the Morley-Montgomery Award. We played with the design a bit — electing to stay with the BSJ's canary yellow theme for a while. Fast forward to <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20060721090045/http://www.bakerstreetjournal.com:80/" target="_blank">July, 2006</a> and you'll find that the site underwent a considerable overhaul. We adopted the BSI's colors of <a href="http://www.sherlockholmespodcast.com/2017/03/10-dressing-gown-of-many-colors.html" target="_blank">blue, purple, and mouse</a>, and added some additional navigation. We noted that change on I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere on July 13, 2006 in the article <a href="http://www.ihearofsherlock.com/2006/07/makes-considerable-difference-to-me-bosc_13.html#.W1DyVtIzrb0" target="_blank">"It Makes a Considerable Difference to Me" [BOSC]</a>.<br />

When work responsibilities became too much for us in 2008, we turned over the reins to Randall Stock, BSI ("South African Securities"), who has ably guided the site through its many updates since then. He created sections for the eBSJ, the expanded Manuscript Series and associated titles, and the events that the BSI hosts as well. It became clear in recent years that the content had outgrown the site, as the BSJ domain was doing more than simply promoting the <i>Journal</i>.<br />
<br />
Not to mention the separate site that accurately and comprehensively captures the breadth of the <a href="http://bsitrust.org/" target="_blank">BSI Trust</a>, including excerpts from the BSI's Oral History project and information on every BSI Dinner since 1934. Regular visitors to our site may find the layout and navigation of the BSI Trust site slightly familiar...<br />

<h3>
<b>“</b><b>a new experience</b><b>”</b><b> [LAST]</b></h3>
Under the capable leadership of <a href="http://ihose.co/ihose71" target="_blank">Mike Whelan</a> as the BSI's "Wiggins," the Baker Street Irregulars have flourished in the last 20 years. The BSI Trust was established to house the BSI's archives and historical material, which has now found a new home at the Lilly Library. The BSI Press has become a publishing powerhouse, with over 60 titles in an ever-expanding set of categories. The BSI Weekend is much more than a weekend, and involves many satellite events stretching from Wednesday to Sunday of the "weekend." Plus, the BSI holds events that are more along the lines of expeditions every few years. And of course, the BSJ continues on its heralded quarterly schedule.<br />
<br />
With so much information to convey, it became clear that the BSJ site couldn't continue to shoulder it all; and frankly, the site was much more than just the Baker Street Journal — it was doubling as the BSI's website.<br />
<br />
And with that, Randall and team worked tirelessly over the last year or so to design and build the new <a href="http://www.bakerstreetirregulars.com/" target="_blank">Baker Street Irregulars website</a> at <a href="http://bakerstreetirregulars.com/" target="_blank">bakerstreetirregulars.com</a>.<br />
<br />
If you head over there, you'll see a clearly laid-out page that has links to sections like <a href="https://bakerstreetirregulars.com/the-bsi-press/" target="_blank">BSI Books</a>, including a number of series: Manuscript, International, Events and Expeditions, Professions, History and Biography, and more. There's a section for <a href="https://bakerstreetirregulars.com/bsi-event-dates/" target="_blank">BSI Events</a>, including the BSI Weekend and other special events and expeditions. And of course, the <a href="https://bakerstreetirregulars.com/the-baker-street-journal/" target="_blank">BSJ</a> has its own section as well. The BSI Trust will continue to be maintained as a separate site.<br />
<br />
As with the initial launch of the original BSJ site in 2001, this is a first pass. We're sure there will be improvements along the way. But the clarity that it brings to the Baker Street Irregulars brand is encouraging.<br />
<br />
The time was right — actually, it was downright overdue — to inform the world of all of the wonderful things for which the Baker Street Irregulars are responsible. We hope that, through the hard work of everyone associated with this project, Sherlockians everywhere will appreciate the tireless and unyielding work of keeping green the memory of Sherlock Holmes.<br />

In "The Final Problem," Sherlock Holmes said that Professor Moriarty was "a genius, a philosopher, an abstract thinker." He also said "Mediocrity knows nothing higher than itself; but talent instantly recognizes genius," in <i>The Valley of Fear</i>. Interestingly, those are both stories in which Moriarty played a role. It seems fairly certain how Sherlock Holmes considered himself compared with the professor.<br />
<br />
But when it came to sharing his observations – not only on his arch-nemesis, but on his method of observation and logic – Sherlock Holmes was only too willing to give a monologue. Watson's role was one of audience member rather than flatmate or colleague. It was clear that Holmes needed to give his soliloquies to someone, and Watson was the perfect foil.<br />
<br />
William James wrote: "Geniuses
differ from ordinary men less in the character of their attention than in the
nature of the objects upon which it is successively bestowed." And it seemed clear that Holmes's attention was on the problems at hand, rather than on his sole friend.<br />
<br />
And it looks like the boys of Baker Street Elementary got an early clue about that behavior...<br />

Another episode in our Florin Society series, this time with Roger Johnson, BSI ("<i>The Pall Mall Gazette</i>") and Jean Upton ("Elsie Cubitt"). The Florin Society of course refers to spouses who each have received an investiture from the Baker Street Irregulars.<br />

Roger's and Jean's story was a fun one to explore, not the least of which was because they're deeply involved in the Sherlock Holmes Society of London. During our conversation, they shared some of the early history of the Society and its members and the secret behind how they're able to regularly access the legendary 221B Baker Street sitting room at the Sherlock Holmes Pub.<br />
<br />
Plus, we learn that Roger got an intro to the world of Sherlock Holmes in a Pontine manner, Jean grew up in a house once inhabited by a legendary Baker Street Irregular, and had her photos used as official documentation of the Granada set. And that's before she moved across the Atlantic to join Roger! It's a love story and a story of mutual affection for Sherlock Holmes — something we can all appreciate.<br />

By now you'll have heard our <a href="http://www.ihearofsherlock.com/2018/06/happy-anniversary.html#.Wyh07qczrb0">11 year-long show</a>, in which we interview notable Sherlockians who are doing their part to keep the memory of Sherlock Holmes green. The program <b>I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere</b> has evolved over the years, but we're on a steady cadence of long-form interviews on the 15th and 30th of every month.<br />

Meanwhile, over on <a href="http://www.sherlockholmespodcast.com/">Trifles</a>, we're engaged in something different: we have short discussions of about 15 minutes in length every week in which we talk about one or two issues that we've noticed within the Sherlock Holmes stories. It's an approach that we hope brings more people into our fold who are new to Sherlock Holmes and are fascinated with the details within the story, or who may have some questions about what they read.<br />

We began the month of June with kind of a continuation of <a href="http://ihose.co/trifles74">the final episode in May</a>, in which we addressed the ins and outs of running a consultancy. Episode 75 - <a href="http://ihose.co/trifles75">Nummi in Arca: Or, the Fiscal Holmes</a> finds us ruminating about the payments that Sherlock Holmes extracted from various clients.<br />

On to Episode 76, where we continued our monthly feature "<b>Inside 221B</b>" that looks at some of the physical objects we find in the flat at 221B Baker Street. It turns out that Sherlock Holmes had quite a few <a href="http://ihose.co/trifles76">Destructive Habits</a> within his flat. Given that the sums he paid to Mrs. Hudson were "princely," was it enough for her to turn a blind eye to his willful abuse of the environs?<br />

However, upon a close reading of "The Musgrave Ritual," we find that <a href="http://ihose.co/trifles77">Holmes's Tin Box</a> is equally as full of adventures worth telling.<br />

Chris Redmond's recent report about the overlap between <a href="http://www.ihearofsherlock.com/2018/06/pigging-out-on-sherlock-holmes.html">the world of Sherlock Holmes and that of Freddy the Pig</a> triggered some memories from Susan Rice, ASH, BSI ("Beeswing"). Susan wrote to share them.<br />

"I never read the Freddy books, so the first time I heard of him was at a Mohonk Mountain House mystery weekend early in the '80s. These were wonderful mystery weekends, first managed by Dilys Winn and Carol Brenner of Murder Ink, where a complicated and very bookish mystery was enacted by writers as victims and murderers and general suspects. These weekends were so popular they were sold out within an hour of going on sale like rock concerts. The players were divided into teams and worked to solve the mystery and then present it to the judges and other players — the top prize being guaranteed reservations for the next year.<br />
<br />
"In '81 or '82 we were all so happy with our random team that we resolved to play together every year, with the magisterial consent of Carol and Dilys. At our first group meeting we met a fellow from the west coast who claimed to be a Sherlockian and was annotating the stories on note cards. His name was Les Klinger. When we convened the next year, the teams were all named for detectives, and it was Les who suggested we call ourselves the Freddy the Pig team as that was a detective the organizers were unlikely to choose for a team name. We won by a mile, and when we returned the following year, the teams were named after the rooms of a British estate, so we opted to be The Pigsty.<br />
"Also on the team were Karen and Billy Palmer, owners of Bogie's Restaurant on West 26th Street in New York, which for a decade became the center of the local mystery scene, and Henry Enberg, BSI. We enjoyed this weekend for many years until it began to be offered in the Neiman Marcus catalog and the clientele fell from its lofty heights of writers and fans to wealthy Texans.<br />
<br />
"Then, just a few years ago, Billy and Karen decided to leave the city for a small town upstate named Roxbury and bought a house a couple of centuries old. At a welcome party given by a neighbor they learned for the first time that the house catty-corner across the street was the home of Walter Brooks, the author of the Freddy books, and was sometimes mobbed by fans. They were subsequently invited over for a tour of the house.<br />
<br />
"You may not know the Palmers, but they are well known to veteran local Holmesians, as we had a number of <a href="https://prioryscholarsnyc.wordpress.com/">Priory School</a> and <a href="http://ash-nyc.com/">Adventuresses</a>' meetings at Bogie's in the '80s. They had lots of local or visiting mystery authors signing books during Mystery Sundays and offered a general mystery quiz at which drinks were the prize. Billy's collection of old radio mysteries allowed one to be played every Sunday when no author was the centerpiece, and also inspired our radio recordings.<br />
<br />
"You may have heard of ZPPR Productions because of the four cassette tapes offered for sale in the Merchants' Room and played widely at scion meetings. They were written by Andrew Joffe, Sarah Montague, Paul Singleton, and Henry Enberg and are very funny — they also entertained at the four Sherlockian cruises that ME Rich, the Stixes, and I arranged in the '80s and '90s. That's why they have a name in the Sherlockian community, but our other work was sold to public radio and were aired widely."</blockquote>

There are a number of people in the Sherlock Holmes stories who wear glasses: Jephro Rucastle, Charles Augustus Milverton, Lord Robert St. Simon, Hosmer Angel, Wilson Kemp – are you sensing a pattern here?<br />
<br />
Each person is of questionable character. We might say villains, but Lord St. Simon isn't particularly villainous; rather he is motivated by monetary interests. A thin line, you might say, but still.<br />
<br />
Glasses play a central role in "The Adventure of the Golden Pince-Nez," with the named object being found in the clutches of the murdered secretary. The strength of the prescription indicated that the suspect was "extremely short-sighted," and Holmes deduced that "anyone who wore such glasses could be slatternly in other respects." <br />
And we come to discover quite a bit about the checkered history of Professor Coram and Anna as the case concludes. One might even deign to judge the character of Anna based on a number of decisions she made over the course of her life, both forced and voluntary. Perhaps the strength of her prescription correlates to the strain of flaws in her? Lots of discussion on this story is in the book <i><a href="http://www.bakerstreetjournal.com/wrongpassage.html">The Wrong Passage</a></i> from the BSI Press Manuscript Series.<br />
