As you know, there are numerous nooks and crannies as part of the Web, some well-hidden and others well known.

"...that web has a thousand radiations, and he knows well every quiver of each of them." [FINA]

Inevitably, one is surprised by what finds on some of these new sites - it's clear that users have a lot of time on their hands and are willing to dedicate themselves to their hobbies. For example, here's what you might see upon typing "Sherlock Holmes" into:

• The video-sharing service YouTube
• The blog search engine Technorati
• The photo-sharing service Flickr
  

A particular favorite is the Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper Celebrity Deathmatch. WARNING: material may not be suitable for younger viewers.
