I am not a member of the BSI but I do have an interest in the Sacred Writings.
Have you seen the latest news ?
A new film coming out in December will portray Holmes and Watson as gay.
Is nothing sacred ?
Watson was deeply devoted to and in love with his wife.
Holmes considered women to be intellectually inferior, yet he was attracted to one woman, Irene Adler. The fact that he accepted a photo of her as payment for a case and kept it framed and on display in his quarters shows this.
This is what happens when revisionists run wild and when people who know NOTHING about Holmes are free to make films.
There is an article on this in the New York Post and on Fox News today.
And a post about it on my blog :

It's not like it hasn't been done before. The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, directed by Billy Wilder, tackled this issue in 1970.
It'll probably prove to be of no consequence.
